Kevin Puts’s The Hours
The original trio of legendary divas—Renée Fleming, Kelli O’Hara, and Joyce DiDonato—triumphantly return in Kevin Puts’s hit new opera, with libretto by Greg Pierce, which played to sold-out audiences during its world-premiere production last season. The three superstars reprise their portrayals of three women from different eras whose lives intersect through the power of Viriginia Woolf’s Mrs. Dalloway. Kensho Watanabe conducts.

Glucki’s Orfeo ed Euridice
Anthony Roth Costanzo stars as the mythic hero who ventures into the underworld to rescue his beloved Euridice. Soprano Ying Fang is his ill-fated bride, with soprano Elena Villalón in her company debut as Amore. Christian Curnyn conducts Gluck’s sublime setting of the ancient tale, enlivened by exuberant choreography from the legendary Mark Morris.

John Adams’s El Niño
Eminent American composer John Adams returns to the Met after a decade-long hiatus for the company premiere of his acclaimed reimagining of the Nativity, in a vibrant Met-debut production by Lileana Blain-Cruz. El Niño brings together three of contemporary opera’s fiercest champions, all of whom also make company debuts: maestro Marin Alsop, soprano Julia Bullock, and bass-baritone Davóne Tines. Mezzo-soprano J’Nai Bridges completes the principal trio.
