Pre-Show Talks

The Met regularly hosts free pre-performance events at the opera house. Tuesday Talks, a new series of free pre-show lectures, offers a broad and engaging introduction to the repertoire seen on the Met stage. These presentations by leading experts and Met staff highlight key musical moments in that evening’s performance while situating the work in operatic history. Each Tuesday Talk begins one hour prior to curtain time, takes place in List Hall, and lasts 30 minutes.
