Il Barbiere di Siviglia

The pretty Rosina (Frederica von Stade in one of her most beloved roles) blithely foils her old guardian Bartolo’s (Louis Quilico) plans to keep her from the man she loves so he can marry her himself. But her sweetheart, Count Almaviva (Stanford Olsen), would be lost without the help of Figaro, the ever resourceful barber of the title (Thomas Hampson). Together, the three outwit the crotchety old man, and even Don Basilio (Samuel Ramey) can’t help him.
