The Metropolitan Opera
CORPORATE DISCOUNT TICKET PROGRAM

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is eligible?
All current employees of your company with employee identification may participate.

What performances are available?
Tickets are periodically made available to your company for a variety of productions and performances. Up–to–date ticket information is available from the Met’s ticket service (212–362–6000) and at the time you place your order. Ticket availability is subject to change and all orders are filled on a first–call basis.

How do I order tickets?
Simply call the Metropolitan Opera Ticket Service Department at (212) 362–6000. When you speak to a customer care representative, identify yourself as an employee of a corporate patron. Our customer care representative will provide performance availability and assist you with placing your order. Tickets may be purchased using a major credit card and will be held at the Metropolitan Opera Box Office window for you to pick up on the day of the performance. Ticket availability is subject to change and all orders are filled on a first–call basis. All sales are final.

Please note that when tickets are purchased over the phone, the Met Box Office does not confirm the location of your seats. This is done to allow the Box Office the flexibility to upgrade your tickets, whenever possible, the day of the performance. So, the first person to call in their order will not only receive the best corporate discount seats, they also will be the first to be assigned improved seats–if they are available–at the box office’s discretion.

How much do the tickets cost?
Orchestra seats are made available to members of our corporate ticket program for $55 each — a considerable savings over the full ticket price for these seats. Please note that there is a $7.00 handling charge and $1.50 facility fee per ticket.

How may I pay for my tickets?
Tickets must be purchased over the telephone by calling (212) 362–6000 with your full credit card billing information. The cost of your order is immediately billed to your credit card (MasterCard, Visa, Discover or American Express). No reservations may be held without payment by a major credit card.

How do I pick up my tickets?
Tickets are available for pick-up at the Metropolitan Opera Box Office, Lincoln Center, beginning two hours before curtain time on the day of the performance. Please bring your corporate identification and credit card with you. We recommend picking up tickets at least one–half hour prior to performance time to avoid lines at the Box Office.

Whom do I call if I have questions about the Metropolitan Opera Corporate Discount Ticket Program?
The Metropolitan Opera Ticket Service Sales Representative at (212) 362–6000 will be happy to help you with any unanswered questions.

May I make a tax–deductible donation in support of the Metropolitan Opera when I purchase tickets over the phone?
The Metropolitan Opera is a non-profit arts organization and welcomes individual donations. The ticket service phone representative will be happy to accept your add–on contribution over the telephone and bill it to your credit card. Many corporations will also match your personal contributions as an employee. Please check with your personnel or human resources department to see if your company will match employee contributions to the Metropolitan Opera.
