Joyce DiDonato stars in the title role of Massenet’s delightful Cinderella story, seen in a charming new production by Laurent Pelly, with Alice Coote as her Prince Charming. Bertrand de Billy conducts. In addition to the performance, join us for cocktails and dinner on the Mercedes T. Bass Grand Tier.

Honoring Steven R. Swartz

On Sunday, May 6, 2018, the Metropolitan Opera will honor Hearst President and CEO and Lincoln Center board member Steven R. Swartz, for the ongoing commitment that he and Hearst have made to arts and culture. The On Stage at the Met gala, a black-tie dinner dance held on the magnificent stage of the opera house in New York City, will feature performances by extraordinary Met artists, including sopranos Anna Netrebko and Ailyn Pérez and tenor Bryan Hymel.

The 2018 – 19 season opens with the Gala Premiere of Darko Tresnjak’s new production of Saint-Saëns’s Samson et Dalila,with Elīna Garanča and Roberto Alagna in the title roles. Sir Mark Elder is on the podium. Join us after the performance for a gala dinner with the cast.
