Le Nozze di Figaro

Mozart’s divine comedy is performed often but rarely with a cast like this. With the great singing actor James Morris (Figaro) and the delectable Marie McLaughlin (Susanna) as the servant couple and aristocratic Dwayne Croft (the Count) and ravishing Renée Fleming (the Countess) as their employers, the battleground is evenly drawn. It finally ends with both couples back in love and reunited, and along the way everyone learns some difficult truths about life. Julius Rudel conducts.
