Joined the MET Orchestra: 1997

Wen Qian, who came to the United States in 1987, was hailed as "one of the most promising young violinists in China" by China Daily.

She has appeared at festivals such as Schleswig-Holstein, Marlboro, and Sarasota. She has taught at the New World Symphony, New York Youth Symphony, and at many conservatories in China. She is a faculty member at the Mannes College of Music and has served as Acting Assistant Concertmaster for many seasons.
