Celebrating Hei-Kyung Hong’s 30th Anniversary at the Met

In a ceremony during the first intermission of the December 8 performance of La Bohème, the Met congratulated soprano Hei-Kyung Hong, who sang Mimì, on her 30th anniversary with the company. In three decades at the Met, she has sung more than 350 performances of 24 roles, including Micaëla in Carmen, the Countess and Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, Violetta in La Traviata, Eva in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, Servilia in La Clemenza di Tito, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Marzelline in Fidelio, Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, Antonia in Les Contes d’Hoffmann, Ilia in Idomeneo, Juliette in Roméo et Juliette, Gilda in Rigoletto, and Despina in Così fan tutte.
