Don Giovanni

“The Rake Punished” is the subtitle of Mozart’s great opera. But until he’s finally dragged, unrepentant, to hell for his sins and misdeeds, the charismatic Don Giovanni cuts quite a figure indeed. He’s the ultimate bad guy: he lies, he seduces, he murders, but when he’s not around life is pretty dull. Dashing Peter Mattei is the enticing Don and Ferruccio Furlanetto his long-suffering servant. Sexy Anna Netrebko is Zerlina, who gives the Don a run for his money.
