Puccini
La Bohème
In his first five years as the Met’s Jeanette Lerman-Neubauer Music Director, Yannick Nézet-Séguin has already taken the podium to lead a broad range of repertoire, from timeless classics to compelling new works by today’s most promising living composers. But only in the spring of 2023 did he first conduct the repertoire’s most popular opera: La Bohème. In this performance, the maestro leads a dynamic ensemble in Puccini’s heartbreaking tale of love and death in bohemian Paris. Soprano Eleonora Buratto and tenor Stephen Costello star as Mimì and Rodolfo, sharing the stage with soprano Sylvia D’Eramo and baritone Davide Luciano as the on-again-off-again Musetta and Marcello. Baritone Alexey Lavrov and bass-baritone Christian Van Horn complete the principal cast as Schaunard and Colline.
