Since her breakout 2008 Met debut as Rosina in Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Elīna Garanča has been one of the most captivating artists on the Met stage. Over the last decade, she has appeared in works spanning a wide range of the operatic repertoire: from elegantly virtuosic performances as Sesto in Mozart’s La Clemenza di Tito and Sara in Donizetti’s Roberto Devereux to commanding portrayals in the title role of Bizet’s Carmen and as Octavian in Richard Strauss’s Der Rosenkavalier.
