NO PURCHASE OR CONTRIBUTION NECESSARY TO ENTER. A PURCHASE OR CONTRIBUTION WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

There will be no exceptions to these rules under any circumstances.

The Metropolitan Opera is offering a free drawing giving winners the opportunity to purchase one pair (two) of tickets to selected the Vittorio Grigolo Recital on March 9 at $25.00 per ticket.

Limits:  one (1) entry, per person, per email address and per household.  Entrants with multiple entries will be disqualified.  Open only to United States citizens and legal residents at least 18 years of age who submit an entry from within the United States. Directors, officers, employees and agents of The Metropolitan Opera and their families and household members are not eligible. Void where prohibited by law. 

Entries can be submitted only via the Met website (www.metopera.org) beginning 10:00 AM ET and ending 11:59 PM ET on Tuesday, March 4.  Entries must be received during that time period without exception, including any malfunction of the Met website or any internet facilities causing late receipt of entries. No entries will be accepted via any other means whatsoever for any reason. Entries generated by script, macro, bot or other automated means are prohibited and will be disqualified.  Entrants must accept these Official Rules to enter. The Metropolitan Opera’s determination of time of receipt and eligibility are final. Winners and persons selected for a wait list will be selected at random and announced on Wednesday, March 5 at 12:00 PM ET (noon). Winners will be notified by email and a list of Winners and those selected for the wait list will be listed on the Met website at www.metopera.org.  By entering the Drawing, you consent to your name being listed on the Met website and other Met materials if you are a Winner or are wait listed. Prize is not transferable or refundable in whole or part. Prize will be void and forfeited if any part thereof is transferred or sold for cash.

Winners must purchase their tickets by 11:59 pm ET on Thursday, March 6 by calling 212-362-6000, by going to www.metopera.org or by visiting the Metropolitan Opera Box Office.  These are the only means by which tickets at this price may be obtained.  Confirmation e-mail and proof of identification must be presented at the Box Office window to receive tickets.  Tickets not purchased by 11:59 pm ET on Thursday, March 6 will be released and go back into the regular box office inventory for sale at regular prices. Tickets purchased other than at the Box Office will be held for pickup at the Box Office, which is located in the North end of the Front Lobby of the Metropolitan Opera House.  Box Office hours are: Monday - Saturday 10:00 AM-8:00 PM ET and Sunday Noon - 6:00 PM ET. We encourage you to pick up your tickets as soon as they are purchased. If you must pick up the tickets on the day of the performance, please give yourself at least 90 minutes to allow for any lines that may have formed. All ticket sales are final. All casting subject to change.

Specific seat locations are chosen by The Metropolitan Opera and are not negotiable. Between 2 and 4,800 tickets will be available at this price; the exact number, if any, will be determined by The Metropolitan Opera. The fair market value of each prize (after deducting the $25 purchase price) will vary depending on seat location and number of tickets purchased, but will be between $52.50 and $275.00.  Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received for each drawing.

The Metropolitan Opera makes no warranties or guarantees, express or implied, with regard to the Drawing. Each Winner may, at the discretion of The Metropolitan Opera, be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and/or Release, and failure to do so within the time specified will result in forfeiture of the right to purchase tickets at this price. All entries become the property of The Metropolitan Opera. Every person, by submitting an entry to The Metropolitan Opera, agrees to these Rules and the decisions of The Metropolitan Opera, its officers, directors, employees and agents and releases them from any and all claims and liability arising out of the Drawing, including without limitation the selection of the Winners.  The Metropolitan Opera expressly disclaims any and all liability for any website or internet malfunction, computer equipment or software failure, or any malfunction or damage caused to any entrant's computer equipment or software.  The Metropolitan Opera is not responsible for any typographical, human or other error of any nature with respect to entries, administration of the Drawing or announcement of Winners.  Any entry containing any omission or error of any nature whatsoever may be disqualified in the Met’s sole discretion. The Metropolitan Opera reserves the right to terminate these Drawings at any time. By submitting an entry, entrant agrees that (1) this random drawing and any and all aspects of the relationship between The Metropolitan Opera and entrants shall be governed by the laws of the state of New York, without giving effect to its conflicts of law principles, and (2) any litigation, claims, disputes or controversies concerning, arising out of or in connection with the Drawings or tickets shall be brought only in a federal or state court in the county of New York, state of New York, and entrant consents to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts and waives any objection or defense concerning jurisdiction or venue that entrant could otherwise have in such courts.

May 9, 2014 will not be honored.
