For Coach/Pianists

Applications are being accepted for the 2015-16 season.  Auditions for the Program for coach/pianists will be held at the Metropolitan Opera in New York in the spring of 2015 by invitation only. To be considered for an audition, you should have a degree in music, and experience as an accompanist, (preferably in Opera). After the panel has reviewed your materials and checked your references, you will be notified as to whether or not you have been granted an audition. The Met reserves the right, without explanation, to decline to hear applicants. If invited for an audition, you should prepare a complete opera (In Italian, French, or German) so that you can play, sing, or conduct any of it as requested. You should also be prepared to demonstrate your skills in sight-reading, conducting, and languages. Participants are admitted to the Program for a period of one year, with an annual renewal of up to two years.
