Make a Difference in Your Community with
The Met: HD Live in Schools

Be part of the Met's Peabody Award-winning Live in HD series, which features opera performances transmitted live from the Met stage to movie theaters around the world – and to students, teachers, and administrators across the nation.

You and your students can experience the world's greatest singers in riveting new productions of  Lehár's The Merry Widow, Rossini's La Donna del Lago, and Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana/ Leoncavallo's Pagliacci, as well as revivals of Verdi’s Macbeth, and Bizet's Carmen.

Participating school districts receive:

  • Tickets for students, teachers, and chaperones to attend select performances at local movie theaters
  • Educator guides with comprehensive cross-curricular activities and tips to help teachers integrate the opera performances into their classroom teaching
  • Professional development workshops for teachers
  • Media and publicity opportunities for your district

The Met's online Educator guides feature audio clips of each of the operas, along with downloadable resources and teacher tools.
