Tickets to the Met start at just $25, with more than a third of Met tickets available for under $100. Here are some other ways to get access to lower-priced tickets at the Met.

Rush Tickets

Orchestra seats are available on the day of the performance for $25. Online only.

Groups

Whether you’re a group of students, professionals, friends, or travelers, the Met offers benefits and discounts when you book 10 or more tickets to a single performance.

Students

Register with your student ID to get access to special low student rates online.

Fridays Under 40

Ten Friday performances are designated as “Fridays Under Forty” for audiences aged 40 and under. Together with an 8pm start time, these performances will include opportunities to socialize and learn more about the Met.

Holidays at Half Price

Young audiences are the focus of a new holiday-time ticket initiative: from Thanksgiving through the end of 2015, audience members 18 and younger pay half price for all performances (subject to availability).

Standing Room

Standing room tickets go on sale on the day of the performance and are available in the Orchestra and Family Circle.

There are no refunds, exchanges or cancellations on single tickets. Subscribers and Patrons receive exchange benefits.

Donations
If you are unable to use your tickets, you may donate them to the Metropolitan Opera for resale until curtain time by calling Met Ticket Service at 212-362-6000, or mailing tickets to:
