Sylvia Volpe made her New York debut in 1995 at Alice Tully Hall in a performance praised by the NY Times for "both lyricism and virtuosity".

Studied with Glenn Dicterow at Juilliard (BM), Ken Goldsmith at Rice University. Has performed chamber and solo works extensively here and abroad, with artists as diverse as Ornette Coleman and Bono. Performances at The Library of Congress, Summergarden Series at MOMA, Weill and Zankel Halls with MET Chamber Ensemble.
