Joined the MET Orchestra: 1992

Born in Kansas, Oboist Susan Spector joined the MET Orchestra in 1992, having previously served as Principal Oboe of the Spokane Symphony.

Ms. Spector has also performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Boston Symphony, and the first World Orchestra for Peace, assembled by Sir Georg Solti. She received Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from Wichita State University and Temple University, respectively. Ms. Spector and her family spend summers in Queens, at Citi Field.
