Violin

Joined the MET Orchestra: 1994

Ming balances his musical life between the MET Orchestra, outside solo and chamber concerts, and teaching and conducting engagements.

A protege of Yehudi Menuhin, Ming's solo career began after winning the Glasgow International Competition and soloing with the Scottish National and BBC Orchestras. Due to an injury that cut short his solo career, Ming obtained a conducting degree from Juilliard and has since led many orchestras throughout the US, Europe, and Asia.
