Joined the MET Orchestra: 1972

Michael Ouzounian was a student of Ara Zerounian and Nathan Gordon (Detroit Symphony) and later with Abraham Skernick (Cleveland Orchestra).

At the Ravinia Festival, he has performed as soloist with the Chicago Symphony. In New York, he has been heard as a soloist with the MET Orchestra in Strauss’s Don Quixote (recorded by Deutsche Grammophon), and in the Concertantes of Mozart and Bolcom, at Carnegie Hall. Mr. Ouzounian has also served on the faculty of the Verbier Festival.
